FCC Wants Opinions On ‘Broadband Era’ Regs

I know I mention this before, but it's worth linking to this article that explains it a little better. "The FCC formally opened up for public comment a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on non-economic industry factors and consumer-protection measures the agency could consider to prepare for what it calls the emerging “broadband era” ..... Under WC Docket No. 05-271, comments due by Jan. 17, 2006, and replies by March 1, 2006, are expected to explore ideas and suggestions “to ensure that consumer protection needs are met by all providers of broadband Internet access service, regardless of the underlying technology,” according to the commission." It's easy to comment on the ECFS system, you do it online using the Docket # 05-271 in this case. (People: if you do not participate in the process, you have no right to bitch about the lousy outcome.)
