Vonage hit by Verizon patent lawsuit

Instead of innovation (or actually building out the network they promised in exchange for rate increases dating back to 1998), VZ (and the other Bells) have always chosen litigation and lobbying to innovation and building out. Reuters reports: "Adding to its woes since a weak stock market debut last month, the lawsuit from Verizon Service Corp. and Verizon Laboratories Inc. alleges that Vonage had infringed on seven patents related to voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, the companies said."
